The policies listed below are necessary to ensure all of our customers and users are able to enjoy Opal productively. 1. Spam, Malware & Phishing
Opal users must not propagate spam. Prohibited activities include:
- Sending or sharing unsolicited or unwanted messages or items;
- Sending email or messages in violation of the CAN-SPAM Act or other anti-spam laws;
- Selling, trafficking in, exchanging, or distributing the email addresses or Opal usernames of any person without his or her consent;
- Using Opal to conduct fraudulent schemes or otherwise defraud users.
Opal users must not distribute malware, including viruses, worms, defects, Trojan horses, corrupted files, or any other similar items of a destructive, deceptive, or interfering nature.
Opal users must not phish, i.e., must not attempt to acquire other users’ content or data such as passwords, financial details, or government identification numbers under false pretenses.
2. Child Safety
Opal has a zero-tolerance policy against child sexual abuse imagery. If Opal becomes aware of such bad content, we will report it to appropriate authorities and may take responsive action, including termination, against the Opal Accounts involved in such bad content.
3. Harassment
Opal users must not use Opal to harass others.
4. Illegal Behavior
Opal users must not use Opal to engage in illegal behavior.
5. Copyright
Opal users must not use the Opal Services to infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others.
6. Enforcement
Opal may suspend or terminate Opal Accounts in violation of these policies.
