This page explains the cookies and similar tools used on opalrecall.com, what each one is for, and how to change your choice. We keep the list short on purpose.
What we ask before using
When you first visit, a banner asks whether you’re happy for us to use two optional extras. Nothing optional runs until you say yes, and saying no doesn’t change anything else about the site.
- Creator referrals. If an Opal creator shared a link that brought you here, a cookie can remember that for up to 60 days, so they’re credited if you sign up.
- Analytics. We use Plausible, a privacy-friendly analytics tool, to count visits and see which pages help. It sets no cookies and doesn’t build a profile of you.
Every cookie and tool on this site
Videos on this site play through youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode. YouTube says it doesn’t store cookies for people who view a page with the video until they play it.
Changing your choice
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time, as easily as you gave it. Open Cookie settings, switch each category on or off, and save. Your choice is kept for 180 days, and then we ask again. You can also clear cookies in your browser at any time.
We keep a simple record of each choice (a random ID, the policy version, what you chose, and when) so we can show that consent was given. It doesn’t include your IP address or browser details.
Changes to this policy
If we add or change a cookie, we update this page, raise the policy version shown under the table above, and ask everyone again. For anything else about your data, see our Privacy Policy or write to info@opalrecall.com.
