When you delete a binder, you choose whether the items in it are kept or deleted too. By default the items are kept: the binder goes away and its items are placed back on your workspace, in a grid to the right of where the binder was.
Delete a Binder Step by Step
- Click the binder to open its panel.
- Click …, then click Delete Item.
- In the Delete This Binder? dialog, choose what to delete (see the options below).
- Confirm with the yellow button.
To back out, click Nevermind, Cancel.
The Two Options
- Delete only the binder. The items in it are retained. This is selected by default, and the button reads Delete Binder only. The items go back onto your workspace, to the right of the binder.
- Delete this binder and the items in it? The binder and the items in it are deleted.
This action cannot be undone, so check which option is selected before you confirm.
Items Other People Added
If the binder is shared and other people added their own items, the dialog tells you what happens to them. Usually items others added go back to them. If Assume delete capabilities and ownership of items of removed participants is on in the binder’s Share panel, they become yours when you keep the items, or are deleted too when you delete everything.
