When someone shares a binder with you and you accept, the binder lands in your Inbox. Place it on one of your workspaces and click it to open its list. What you can do inside depends on the permissions the owner gave you.
Accept and Place the Binder
- Open Shares in the top-left toolbar.
- Under Incoming Requests, find the binder and click Accept.
- The binder lands in your Inbox. Drag it onto one of your workspaces.
If some items in the binder are already in your account, Opal asks whether to Leave them where they are or Move them to this container. Choose one and click Confirm. See Accept or Decline Something Shared with You.
What You Can Do Inside
- View: open and read every item.
- Edit: edit the items and reorder the binder.
- Add: add your own items. They stay yours, and everyone in the binder sees them.
- Remove: take other people’s items out. They go back to their owner.
- Delete: delete items in the binder, never the binder itself.
Your own items in the binder are always yours to take out. To see what you can do, open the binder’s Share panel and look at your entry.
Leave the Binder
Open the binder’s panel, click …, then click Leave Share. Items you added go back to you, out of the binder. See Leave Something That Was Shared with You.
